🎄 Give well: this year try to have a positive impact on our friends and family by giving better gifts
Summary:
Giving a gift to someone can be one of the most rewarding and stressful experiences.
After a couple of years of chaos we think it is time to be more mindful of the gifts we give.
We’ve pulled together some inspiration for better gifts this year - things that will spark joy both inside and out.
What this means?
Giving a gift doesn’t need to be stressful - go beyond things and think about experiences or tools that can help people uplift their life and have a positive impact on them beyond one day.
🎉 Self-care-mass: try to look after yourself this year and enjoy the holidays in a way that is kind to yourself
Summary:
The temptation to let loose this holiday period is certainly there - especially after a couple years of ups and downs.
But just because we want to let off some steam doesn’t mean we need to forget about looking after ourselves too - and this guide from This is Yoga is full of practical tips.
What this means?
We don’t think you need to take out all the fun but by putting in a self-care rituals during the holiday period it’ll reduce the risk of falling into bad habits and a regretful state of mind after.
There are lots of little things you can do but we think the key tips are:
Set aside time for being in nature everyday and taking time to yourself to breathe
Practice gratitude daily - hopefully someone buys you that MiGoals journal!
Exercise and / or meditate to give your mind a rest
🥗 Eatwell: An app that helps you navigate eating out with dietary restrictions
Sydney based startup Eatwell has launched an app to help you navigate the difficult world of dietary restrictions while eating out.
As we learn more about ourselves and the impact that certain foods can have it is becoming more and more important to be conscious of what we put in our bodies.
While they are only available in Sydney for now combining existing knowledge and data about menus with crowdsourced reviews and recommendations will allow informed decisions for customers and encourage better information to be provided by restaurants.
Hope you enjoyed this week’s roundup!
