Summary:
Alt-milks aren’t new and every supermarket and grocer seems to have half an aisle dedicated to a variety of nut-based and other types of non-dairy milk.
Dug is a Swedish brand that is launching in the US soon (other markets to follow) who have developed a potato-based alt-milk that is enriched with other ingredients such as pea protein.
What this means?
Potatoes can get a bad wrap but on the whole they are pretty healthy and when formulated as a milk with other ingredients they offer a great alternative to nut-based milks and dairy.
The real win for potato milk is the sustainability side as the footprint to produce it is so much lower than nut-based milks and plain old cow milk.

Summary:
Researchers at the University of Toronto (U of T) and Unity Health Toronto have demonstrated that repeated listening to personally meaningful music induces beneficial brain plasticity in patients with mild cognitive impairment or early Alzheimer's disease.
What this means?
Music-based interventions may be a feasible, cost-effective and readily accessible intervention for those in early-stage cognitive decline.
Individualized and home-based approach to music-listening may be a beneficial treatment element and have lasting effects on the brain.
🚫 Let it hang out: Sucking in your stomach all day could be bad for your health.
Summary:
We’ve all done it - sucking in our stomach (consciously or subconsciously) to make ourselves seem flatter than we are.
Whilst there isn’t a problem with doing this sporadically when it becomes habitual or prolonged it can cause physical and mental problems for us.
What this means?
“Stomach gripping” as it is called can put undue stress on the pelvic muscles as well as affect our core strength in a negative way by staying contracted for too long and putting pressure on other parts of the body.
It can also affect the way we breathe and create a negative pattern that is hard to break out of.
Focus on posture and consciously relaxing your muscles in order to work to undue the habit.
